Simple Microfiber Cleaning Cloth 4-Color 20-Pack

Compact by Design is an initiative we created to identify products that, despite not always looking very different, have a more efficient design. By removing excess air and water, these products require less packaging and become more efficient to ship. At scale, these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions.

Small changes in product size and weight can lead to lower carbon emissions, and this is the focus of sustainability. We developed Compact by Design to locate products that, while they may not visually stand out, have a more efficient design.

When excess air and water are removed from products, they need less packaging and are more efficient to transport. Even minor variations in product size and weight can accumulate to produce substantial decreases in carbon emissions.

Here are several examples of products that meet the Compact by Design criteria:

Extremely soft and non-abrasive microfiber cloths: Used for a variety of cleaning jobs, these highly absorbent cloths quickly pick up water and liquids. Part of the SimpleHouseware microfiber cloth/towel series, they are recommended to be washed in plain water before first use. Laundry instructions are machine wash cold, line dry, do not bleach or iron, and avoid fabric softener, washing separately.

Microfiber Premium Polishing Towel: A microfiber cleaning set that is highly absorbent and dries quickly.

Microfiber Thick Cleaning Towel: A 16" x 24" microfiber towel made of 15% nylon and 85% polyester, suitable for a range of cleaning tasks.

Microfiber Cleaning Cloth: A 12" x 16" microfiber cloth composed of 20% nylon and 80% polyester, with a soft, non-abrasive texture that prevents scratching.

Microfiber Drying Towel: A large 25" x 36" microfiber towel that can hold 8 times its weight in liquid and dries rapidly.

Microfiber Cloth Combo: A 50-pack plus 6-pack of assorted color microfiber cloths (green, yellow, blue, orange) measuring 12" x 16".

These products demonstrate how small adjustments to size and weight can contribute to greater sustainability. By optimizing the design and packaging of everyday items, we can collectively reduce carbon emissions and make progress towards a more environmentally-friendly future.
